Casa Bacardi - Exhibit and Conference Room

The Exhibit and Conference Room is designated for featuring artists, photographers, sculptures, and other types of cultural elements that pertain to Cuba. The room also doubles as a lecture and conference area for meetings, classes, and special events held at Casa Bacardi.

Exhibits at Casa Bacardi have included: a Smithsonian Institution Photograph Exhibit of Cuba in 1902, which featured original photos of the island taken during the celebration of the establishment of the republic in May 1902; a Cuban National Heritage (Herencia Cultural Cubana) exhibit on 19th and 20th century tobacco labels, lithographs, and box covers; a photography exhibition documenting contemporary life in Cuba featuring the work of Cuban-American photojournalist Roy Llera, and other features.

Many of the other events held in the Conference Room include: a three class lecture on Cuban cuisine by TV star Chef Pepin; several book presentations such as "Carta de Cayo Hueso" and the CD presentation of Velia Yedra; a feature on the documentary "El Presido - The Trip Back" that focuses on the prisons and jails in Cuba; and regularly scheduled lectures and luncheons.
