Casa Bacardi - Music Pavilion
The Music Pavilion features an array of interactive
activities. The Pavilion is setup with four computer listening
stations, video television, juke box, and an assortment of traditional
Cuban musical instruments.
At the listening stations, individuals can put
on headphones and travel back in time to their favorite Cuban
musical era. There are over 2,000 digital musical selections,
organized by artist name, composer, or song title. Finding your
favorite Cuban singer or musician is at the touch of a button.
Archived selections include nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first
century popular and classical Cuban works.
Additionally, the listening stations provide
a touch of laughter with the "Humor" selection. Listen
to your favorite comedians, including Luis Carbonell, Trespatines,
and Guillermo Alvarez Guedes.
The Music Pavilion also provides a wide selection
of video history that can be seen on our video televisions.
Select from various movies and documentaries, or watch one of
the music collection tapes that detail many of Cuba's most popular
singers such as Benny More, Celia Cruz, and Dámaso Perez
Prado.
Other features of the Pavilion are the various
musical instruments and music brochures. This hands-on activity
allows visitors to play and learn about the various Cuban instruments,
and the music brochures detail the various genres that originate
from Cuba such as Son, Bolero, and Cha-Cha-Cha.
There's something for everyone, plenty to learn
and see, at Casa Bacardi's Music Pavilion.
